Grab your pen and paper because over the next four weeks we’ll dive into our action to competent and normative eating.
There is a ton of information available on the internet about the benefits of recovery from eating disorders, the detriment of diet culture and the causes and roots of it all.
So why is it so hard to eat normatively?
If we’re unable to orient ourselves, our space, our needs – we’ll be unable to yield.
In my experience as a practitioner, I’ve found there are four reasons we’re unable to yield and eat normatively.
1. We can’t relax
2. We don’t have clarity around food
3. We don’t respond to our needs
4. We prohibit satisfaction
In this week’s video below we talk about relaxing.
Tune in for the next 3 weeks as we go over the other reasons we can struggle with normative eating.
