When we embark on a new adventure, which for many of us reading this is intuitive eating, we can feel overwhelmed by simply having to start.
It can particularly be hard to start when you don’t know where you’re going.
So I want to encourage you to do an inventory and ask yourself,
“What do I want to see happen?”
For example : if you want to reach full body neutrality, that’s a great thing to want to see happen but that doesn’t happen overnight. So a great place to start could be buying clothes that fit so you’re not preoccupied with your body.
Additionally, we can get overwhelmed and discouraged by how far we need to go but if we take the small steps on our roadmap, we can get there.
You’ll be able to look back over 3, 6, 9, 12 months and see how far you’ve come.
Thank you Tracy. Due to arthritis in my back, knees and shoulder, I have to change from a competitive exercise mindset to just moving. I need to stop bingeing, lose weight and increase my upper body strength. Doing this in stages does make sense. I tend to overthink everything, and I need to just breathe, give myself grace and lean more on God.
