Dear friends,

I hope you are safe, well and keeping groceries stocked to prevent food scarcity from creeping in.

And speaking of this, I bet you can tell if you aren’t feeling secure with the food you have. It’s because:

We know we were meant for connection.

We want to feel accurate signals inside but the wires are jumbled because of overwhelm.

This is why not trusting our bodies with food is so scary and why running back to restriction (that causes us to constantly think about food and eat or not eat ) occurs.

How come we don’t do the thing (eat) we know we need to do?

Because we are afraid what we need (safety)won’t be there so we hold onto the misery we know.

We are not accustomed to slowing down and feeling/knowing the difference between the needs of the body and other sensations and then assume it’s too much.

Here is the simple hard thing to do about all of this.


Look around at the good you do have, where you are encouraged to be authentic and who is waiting for you to pick up the phone, type the text or send a picture.

It may not have always been the case but there are things/places/people who care that you do reach for what you need.
