Hey friends—first off, thanks for being here. I know this isn’t the fanciest setting (the sun’s going down as I record this, and it’s been a day), but I didn’t want to wait any longer to share something that’s really close to my heart and something that I believe in you all for.

Here’s the thing: triggers are an opportunity—even though it rarely feels like it in the moment.

We all go through seasons where it seems like we’re stuck. You’ve probably been there. You feel like you’re not making progress or maybe you’re getting triggered by things you thought you’d already dealt with. You might even find yourself thinking, Didn’t I already work through this?

If that sounds familiar, I want to encourage you today.

When Triggers Feel Like Setbacks

It’s easy to think “What’s wrong with me?” when we feel triggered. Like we’re backsliding. But let me reassure you—nothing is wrong with you.

Healing isn’t linear. It’s multilayered. Our bodies and minds need different things at different times in life. Sometimes, old vulnerabilities resurface because they need care in new ways.

So when a hard moment hits, instead of asking, Why me?, try asking:
What is this trying to teach me? What opportunity might come from this?

Now, I’m not trying to sell you some kind of toxic positivity. This isn’t about slapping a smile on tough stuff and pretending it’s fine. It’s about choosing how we see our challenges. Whether it’s a health scare, a difficult relationship, food struggles, or something else—you can decide to see these moments as invitations for growth.

Triggers Are an Opportunity to Move Forward

Let’s be real: avoiding challenges is our default. It’s human nature to want to suppress, rationalize, or run from discomfort. But deep down, I believe you know you’re made for more than that.

Even if you feel like things are “not so bad” right now—that you’re not struggling as much as before—you might still feel unsettled. That nagging sense that, There’s got to be more freedom than this.

Here’s the good news: there is.

Instead of asking, Why isn’t this over yet?, try asking, What’s the next step forward? Because the very fact that something is bubbling up means you’re ready for more healing. Sometimes, you already have what you need to move ahead. Other times, you might just need a little more support—and that’s okay.

You Don’t Have to Walk Through This Alone

If you need support with food, body image, health, or anything else that feels heavy right now, don’t hesitate to reach out. You deserve someone to walk alongside you—someone who can say, That makes sense. Of course you’re feeling this way.

And beyond that, someone who can help you sort out what’s really you and what’s the noise of outside pressures.

Remember: you are allowed to take up space. You are allowed to trust that your experiences have meaning—not just for you, but for the people you’ll impact along the way.

Triggers are an opportunity. Not a sign of failure. Not a setback. But a chance for deeper growth.

Thanks so much for being here. Bye for now.
