For many of us, shame is wrapped up in our eating disorder struggle.

Most of us heard the ‘coulda, shoulda, woulda”s in our childhood and that became a part of our narrative that we now speak over ourselves.

‘I should know better.’
‘I should be eating that instead.’
‘If only I would do this, then…’

And on it goes…

And there is an embarrassment that can come from this struggle as these things often become very personal to us.
