When we begin engaging in a non-diet journey, many of us do not account for the nuances.

We don’t think about the fact that it takes time to habituate to all the food groups or that it takes time to cellularly heal.

And, when we leave diet culture, our brain is still wired away from nuance and the both/ands in life.

I find that many who go back to dieting did so because they felt recovery was taking too long.

The reality is is that it takes time to heal and build new neural pathways.

If we’re able to embrace the nuances of recovery, we can navigate the however long it takes for us to fully be well.
