I enjoy talking about this topic because social eating is so much a part of normal eating. Unfortunately if we are not fully connected to our hunger, fullness and preferences or if we have food beliefs that make us believe that certain foods will change our bodies (and if we are not okay with that!), eating out can be scary at best.
And even if we go out to eat and actually eat, guilt can set in because food rules are now in front of our minds after the meal is over.
For tips on getting grounded before eating out, check out my newest video.
We will do follow-ups on this topic, so please leave questions!
I love the video! So great! You are so relatable and gentle. It’s so easy and enjoyable to learn from you 💜🌺
Aww thank you Pam! I do hope to spread compassion for ourselves in these tough situations. We so often beat ourselves up for feeling bad, then there we are, stuck in a loop of feeling afraid or unsure of ourselves and then hating ourselves for feeling stuck. Compassionate action is the way!
