It is normal when you first stop dieting to not have clarity. No one knows how to eat from hunger and fullness straight away. One of the goals is to get to the place where you know how much and what you want to eat and to be satisfied. To simply have food be food without obsession.
There can be a variety of barriers that we must work through to get to that place of clarity and insight needed to do the work of intuitive eating. Maybe you have disorganized attachment or you have feelings of, ‘I’m too much’ or ‘I’m in the wrong body’.
In order to get clarity and insight, you must first learn to yield (see last week’s video blog).
The good thing is, the more your practice intuitive eating, the more insight you’ll have. Doing this practice over and over again will provide you the needed knowledge to succeed in food recovery.
