This week on my Facebook page, we reviewed some videos from the past regarding fear of weight gain.
I don’t pretend to have all wisdom or experiences, but it’s vital that we understand the difference between not liking our own body versus the stigma that people in larger bodies face.
Because fear of weight gain posts are the majority of posts I don’t approve because they will be harmful to those in larger bodies and everyone in recovery AND this issue is most appropriate to be discussed in a private space of one on one non diet nutrition therapy or with a trusted person, I wanted to share the conversations that must be had via these videos.
Reflect and please remember all posts suggesting that weight loss is for my health or to feel better about myself (please review the HAES principles and speak to your non diet professional) will be removed.
