So many things in life are nuanced and complex.

Not too many things are black and white, particularly when we’re dealing with trauma.

We see this when our trauma is over-coupled with food, movement, body image, weight, etc.

For instance, many of us are led to believe (through many capacities), that our weight is the determining factor for our health.

Weight is certainly a factor to our health, but there are also over 100 OTHER factors that contribute to our overall health.

See, that’s nuanced.

It’s not cut and dried. If it was, we would see people coming out of eating disorders quicker and easier than people are.

Trauma is nuanced.

What we can do is learn how to have a felt sense and navigate the nuances around our hunger and fullness.
