Blaming and shaming our body is what we’re used to doing. It comes natural and is often our first response. But what if there was another way where we could walk in body acceptance and freedom?

Image text states Accepting Your Body vs Blaming and Shaming.

Why does it feel easier to blame and shame instead of walking in body acceptance?

The reality is, it’s easier to blame and shame. It’s what we’ve been taught to do and is often our first response.

However, there is another way.

First we must realize that we cannot fix an internal issue with external solutions.

Sensations and feelings can be VERY uncomfortable but they are not the threat.

The uncomfortable-ness that we often try to avoid is often the hinderance to us doing the deep, internal work and moving into a place of body acceptance.

If you catch yourself blaming and shaming yourself, ask yourself, ‘Is this getting me closer to freedom and is it helping me heal?’

So what does it look like to go beyond blaming and shaming?

Let’s remain open and curious. Would you say that thought to your best friend or even your worst enemy?

If not, why would you say it to yourself?
