About Allyson

Allyson is a health and wellness coach and registered dietitian nutritionist. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Foods, as well as completed her dietetic internship, at the University of Houston. She is a strong believer that all foods fit, and that what we eat is more than just fuel for our bodies, but also a way for us to connect with family, our emotions, and even the community!

Growing up, Allyson dealt with a wide array of GI issues, including bloating, weight loss and gain, acne, diarrhea, constipation, GERD, and even ulcers. And with each visit to different primary care physicians and GI specialists, she was told she had IBS or “irritable bowel syndrome” (aka an umbrella diagnosis for “we don’t really know”) and never provided with any real way to treat or even manage it. So she took matters into her own hands and discovered the best way to manage her GI issues and symptoms was through proper nutrition. This inevitably led to her wanting to help others struggling with gut issues, conquer their symptoms by guiding and providing them with easy-to-digest information (pun intended) with a gentle approach

Allyson enjoys cooking, exploring the city, traveling, and just about anything outdoors. Her passion is to help empower others to reclaim their health and take their life back into their control without the baggage of diet culture.
