On my latest podcast interview with Paige Smathers, we disucss Building Body Trust and Better Health through the Little Things.
I share my struggles with food and body image and we emphasized how we are all born with the capacity to eat and take care of ourselves in a way that’s right for us. We ended the podcast interview outlining ways that the little things really do make a big difference in our wellbeing.
You can listen to the recording here.
I wanted to make a separate page full of the latest videos that I have posted on Facebook so that you can dive right in, right now, for the attuned eating support you desire.
Because Food Tastes So Good
What do you call planning ahead to eat to feel satisfied?
How we are all conditioned in diet culture and how I continue to invite you and me to get out..
Eating and selfcare when you're tired, angry and lonely
I don't know how you are doing but frankly, things feel heavy. There is a lot going on in the world and we can't help but not only feel our feelings about it but many of you feel the collective heaviness as well.
And I am wondering how this might be impacting your self care and food? For me, I've needed to avoid social media and the news more; I know what happened; there is no reason to rehash the details. I have kept my focus on my family, clients, hurricane clean-up, being more social with you on my Facebook business page (more helpful videos) and else-wise moving a little slower, which feels good for my system.
How are you fairing? Please take a second to notice your breath if you haven't in a while and tune in. Did you notice your hunger and fullness?
If you are a newer reader here, thank you so much. If you haven't watched or used all the tools from the free gift series, please take the time to engross yourself. There is a reason for that.
For me when I first got started with recovery and intuitive eating, one of the reasons for the times I made the most progress was when I went "all in" and surrounded myself with resources. I decided that this was going to work.
It wasn't that I didn't have doubts or fears, but I kept revisting what grounded me and what helped me when I felt bad.
This builds new neural pathways of possibility even if you don't believe it all the time.
The truth is we don't know how the pace of this process is going to go, but if you desire freedom from food and weight worries and want to feel that you deserve this freedom, you have already made several steps there!
Many of you may have already seen this video; it is over 2 years old. However, it accurately breaks down many of the ways the process works and what is possible.
(And as you know, you do not need to look like the person interviewing me to be struggling enough to need help; she happened to be the person interviewing me. This much freedom is a result of the combination of your willingness and me walking beside you. )
If you are ready to move towards this level of freedom not only with food but with your life email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about my
